“Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying?” (Matthew 6:27, HCSB). Here’s a great quote from the commentary in this week’s MasterWork Leader Supplement (www.lifeway.com/masterwork):
Worry fails to grasp and submit to the sovereign rule of the Lord in the world. Worry never changes anything. … Worry is wasted energy—pointless and unrealistic. One young man was foolishly working himself into a nervous breakdown. Realizing the pointlessness of worry, he surrendered control of his life to God’s sovereign grace by praying, “Lord, today I resign as general manager of the universe.”
